Reconstruction of the social fabric and support networks through the strengthening of communication skills
Abstract
The objective of this article is to carry out a process of reflection of the psychosocial intervention in order to strengthen the communicative capacities of the population affected by the armed conflict. The methodological component was based on the phenomenological paradigm, the approach is qualitative and the method used was that of action. The population was the victims of the armed conflict in the municipality of Chalan, the sample consisted of 36 victims and the type of sampling was non-probabilistic by convenience. The intervention techniques implemented were focus groups, workshop methodology and the methodological instrument of psychosocial intervention in the individual and community modality proposed by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Colombia. The results showed that the psychosocial intervention redesigned the role in the community, creating spaces for training and participation that made possible the strengthening of communication skills, leadership, and reconstruction of the social fabric and the establishment of support networks. In conclusion, the relevance of psychosocial intervention in the strengthening of communication skills in conflict contexts allows the dynamization of participatory social processes, the direction and empowerment of reconciliation, reintegration and social cohesion processes in the community.
