Inteligencia Artificial Generativa y la Resolución Algorítmica: Análisis Comparativo entre Gemini, Socratic y Photomath en la Educación Matemática Universitaria

El avance de las tecnologías digitales emergentes ha transformado la didáctica de las ciencias exactas. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar comparativamente el impacto de la inteligencia artificial generativa (Gemini) frente a aplicaciones de resolución algorítmica (Photomath y Socratic) en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de las matemáticas a nivel universitario. La metodología empleada bajo un enfoque mixto y diseño secuencial explicativo contempló una muestra de 60 estudiantes cursantes de la asignatura Matemática I, II y III. En la fase cuantitativa se midió la precisión y eficacia procedimental de las herramientas ante problemas de cálculo diferencial e integral, mientras que la fase cualitativa evaluó el desarrollo del razonamiento heurístico estudiantil. Los resultados revelan que, si bien los solucionadores algorítmicos ofrecen alta eficacia en la evaluación numérica procedimental, generan dependencia mecanicista. En contraste, Gemini actúa como un orquestador cognitivo que, mediante el diálogo, facilita la transición epistemológica desde la instrucción hacia el autodescubrimiento matemático (Continuum PAH). Se concluye que la integración de Modelos de Lenguaje Grande (LLM) en la educación matemática superior supera el paradigma del simple resultado inmediato, exigiendo una reestructuración de las estrategias de evaluación y fomentando un aprendizaje analítico, crítico y adaptado a los entornos virtuales contemporáneos.
