Purposeful results in scientific research as a response to social transformation: A view from the University of Research and Innovation of Mexico

The main purpose of this work is to analyze the propositional results in scientific research as a response to social transformation: a view from the University of Research and Innovation of Mexico, although it examines the relevance of the results of scientific research in the promotion of significant social changes. A distinction is established between diagnostic and propositional results, emphasizing that the latter not only generate knowledge, but act as a tool for social, economic and cultural transformation. Through an exhaustive analysis of the literature, scientific results are classified according to the aspect of reality they transform, proposing a resizing of the "results" category within the research methodology. The most common structures in the theoretical and practical contributions are discussed, as well as the importance of professional preparation and innovation in the researcher's work. The article also presents methodologies such as the Delphi method and consultation with specialists to evaluate the relevance and feasibility of the proposed results. It is concluded that a rigorous assessment of these results can contribute to the solution of social problems and the advancement of knowledge, highlighting the need for scientific research to be oriented towards practice and application in transdisciplinary contexts. This work invites researchers to consider their results not only as an end, but as a means to generate a positive impact on society.
