Abstract

School environments should be settings that facilitate the participation of students and teachers; therefore, evaluating the different characteristics embedded within the narrative of these scenarios contributes to the construction of healthy educational environments. The research was qualitative, of systematic design, using interpretive hermeneutics from open coding. It is determined that, to refer to inclusion, the way of overcoming two types of barrier, physical and social, must be taken into account, therefore, educational diversity recognizes disability, gender diversity as part of sexuality and culture as conclusive aspects that point to the social factor related to social imaginaries and stereotypes associated with the first barriers that the teacher must assertively dismantle in order to contribute to participatory school environments.
