Preface
Academic procrastination in times of crisis
Abstract
According to García and Silva (2019), procrastination as a concept described and analyzed by numerous authors who study the subject:
It is as old as humanity, and it is not because there are indications that it is so, but because the condition of the human being is oriented towards procrastinating tasks that it considers unpleasant, difficult, stressful or contrary to personal interests. As an object of study, it could be called a scientific novelty, since the subject has been explored for just over two decades, especially by psychology. The growing interest in this human situation makes sense and value, since it is adverse to evolution and the achievement of goals; it is progressive, it is related to many more defects than virtues, and it constitutes a phenomenon that begins in childhood, goes through adolescence and can last into adulthood.
