Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine the disruptive effect of Education 4.0 on human resource development in training institutions. Using a qualitative paradigm, the methodology is documentary, based on a bibliographic search with inclusion and exclusion criteria in electronic journals contained in different databases and institutional repositories. Twenty articles were considered for review. The findings show that Education 4.0 presents an opportunity for training institutions to quickly adopt the required standards. This technological tool, used proactively in education, contributes to improving student interaction, ensuring that there are no difficulties or constraints on the mode of interaction, and that both synchronous and asynchronous encounters can be offered to enrich their educational experience. In conclusion, it is important to develop self-managed learning among participants, as this fosters responsible and autonomous individuals in their own education, who are the main actors in the construction of their knowledge, as well as in the acquisition of life skills and competencies. Additionally, it reinforces learning, aligning it with future job performance.
