Entrepreneurial intention in technical training institutions for the work
Abstract
The entrepreneurial intention is a subject that has been studied extensively in the university context and even at the level of secondary and basic education, without evidence of work at the level of technical education or education for work and human development. For this reason, this article focuses on analyzing the entrepreneurial intention in a technical training institution for work in the city of Barranquilla; to this end, an instrument developed under the guidelines of the Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students' Survey (GUESSS) via web was applied. 783 students of the FORMAR Educational Corporation. Initially, a review of the literature on the topics of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial intention, its measurement and the context for entrepreneurship in Colombia is made. The results show that the qualifications of the attributes that characterize the entrepreneurial intention of the students are very similar to the national average for students of university programs and in some cases superior, in spite of the absence of a support structure for entrepreneurship in the institution.
