Abstract

The current society of knowledge and / or learning poses a social scenario in which Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have a strong role in the educational field, making possible the emergence of new educational forms among which is the e-learning, teletraining or ICT-based education, which can support the process of improvement and transformation of university institutions. That is why it is essential to promote the acquisition of skills and, therefore, the training of teachers, linked to the interests, the problematic and dynamic of interaction of the community of belonging of these teachers. If the goal is for teachers to learn technological skills and use them to innovate their teaching space, we must consider their participation and integration in a communication of technological users. It requires a strong emphasis on strategic learning, self-organization and self-regulation. It means that in this process university professors must grow in everything: the personal, the communicative, and the egocentric, the conscious of their thinking, the errors, the successes, the superficial, and the profound. This all has a center that coincides with the center of every human being: consciousness (self-knowledge).
