Ethical leadership: An organizational perspective in global contexts
Abstract
The Public Administration is currently facing a major challenge: Responding to social demands effectively and efficiently, seeking to increase its quality levels in a context of growing service to the people, in which scenario, ethical leadership plays an essential role. Determinant for the successful achievement of such aspiration, especially in the creation of a moral climate, essential for social experience. However, within human organizations it is necessary to recover ethical values as references for their actions. The economic, political and social structures are instruments at the service of man, as well as the Public Administration, therefore, it must promote, through leadership based on ethical values, fundamental rights on the basis of an environment with ethical quality, within of the framework of legality that guarantees a public service in accordance with the demands of citizens at the dawn of the 21st century. By virtue of such reflections, the motivation of the present investigation, which carries out a discussion on Ethical Leadership: An organizational perspective in global contexts, taking into account theories that support it, such as the different conceptualizations, based on the contents exposed by the authors. examined, developing under an interpretative approach of descriptive type and non-experimental design through the analysis of documents.
