Abstract

For Martínez (2024), it is essential to move towards an integrated medium-term strategy to facilitate the transition of workers and companies from the informal to the formal economy. This presents an opportunity to formulate, based on social dialogue, a new generation of public employment policies (active and passive) that promote: inclusion of men and women under equal conditions; respect for labor rights; promote responsible business conduct with emphasis on human and environmental rights; and promote fair transitions (from informality to formality, from precarious jobs to decent jobs, towards jobs and economic activities that are more environmentally friendly).
